ICEC 2014 Ken Humphreys Paper Awards
We remind all ICEC member associations about the invitation for your association to submit entries for the 2014 ICEC Kenneth K Humphreys Awards for the most outstanding cost engineering, project management and quantity surveying papers by students or young members of ICEC member associations.
The submission deadline has been extended from 1 September to 22 September 2014.
The awards are open to all students or young members of ICEC member associations who are aged 35 years or younger. Further details of the awards and the paper submission requirements can be found on the ICEC awards website at: http://www.icoste.org/category/awards/

The Board of Engineers of Milano acknowledges 9 credits (3 per day) to ICEC 2014 Congress, after the evaluation of professional contents.
L’Ordine degli Ingegneri di Milano ha autorizzato il riconoscimento di 9 CFP (3 per giornata), valutando anticipatamente i contenuti formativi professionali.
ICEC 2014 Young Experience
On the occasion of the ICEC 2014 World Congress, a set of initiatives targeting students and young people has been designed in order to offer them the opportunity to approach Total Cost Management and broaden the knowledge of this discipline.
The programme foresees the full participation at the Congress on 20, 21 and 22 October 2014, as well as career guidance meetings and other workshops with senior professionals and managers, to be held in parallel or before the Congress.

The preliminary programme of the Congress is online (see the Programme page). It will be regularly updated. Oustanding key-note speakers will participate in the first day plenary sessions.
In this chart, papers accepted have been grouped according to their area of origin. A considerable number of papers comes from Europe (especially from Italy and United Kingdom) and Africa. Good participation from the United States and Brazil (this last will host the X ICEC World Congress in 2016). Asia contribution is of 16%: in particular from China and South-East. Australia will also be very well represented.
